Students will find a safe and secure environment at Saint John's with full-time adult staff supervising and mentoring the students. Girls and boys live in separate residence halls. The boys live in St. Michael Hall, located next to the academic building. Girls live in Richarda Hall at the nearby private women's college, the College of Saint Benedict. Busing is provided between the two campuses throughout the day and evening.
I am excited to join SJP as Resident Director for Richarda Hall. I actually lived in Richarda for two years while I was getting my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from CSB/SJU and working in the college's residential life program. I have over ten years of experience living in Catholic Worker communities in Washington, DC and Duluth, MN. My aim will be to create a healthy, safe place for resident students to grow and thrive, as they develop their sense of self and their place in the world. My husband Scott and our 22-month-old daughter Mila Rose are used to living with a lot of people - that will come in handy! We look forward to meeting you.
I am from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and I recently graduated from St. Cloud State University. I love doing indoor and outdoor things--from going on bike rides to watching movies to playing board games--I love to do it all! I also love to meet new people and learn new things which is why I wanted to live in Richarda!I look forward to a new and exciting year with the Residents of Richarda!
I am from St. Cloud, MN. I graduated from the Prep School and currently, I am in my second year of studying Theology and Spanish at St. Ben's. This chance to work in Richarda Hall will be an opportunity for me to work with the Prep School community in a new and exciting way. I am confident that I will learn a great deal from daily interactions with the young women in Richarda Hall and too from all of my interactions with the faculty and staff of the Prep School.
It will be my first year working on the Richarda Hall Staff. I'm from Chanhassen, Minnesota and I graduated from Chaska Senior High School. My plan is to follow a four-year track at the College of Saint Benedict and graduate with a Psychology/English double major. From there, I'm planning on going on to get my Masters, and then my PsyD in Clinical Psychology. I am a dancer and plan to continue with a dance class this fall. I'm really excited to work with all the students that go to the Prep School, and also the staff members of Richarda Hall. See you soon!
Hi, I’m from Pequot Lakes, MN. I am an Art Major with a Spanish/Theology Minor. Some of my interests include drawing, painting, cooking, crocheting & running. I wanted to work as an R.A. because I thought that it would be a great learning experience and a challenge!
I am a graduate of Saint John's University and am currently working on an MA in Educational Administration through Saint Mary's University, Minnesota. This marks my fifth year working as Resident Director of Saint Michael Hall. I returned to SJP last February and am excited about the growth and bright future of the resident program. This year we have 63 young men from all over the world who not only experience American culture, but also share their own cultures with students who are from the United States. I spent the summer visiting friends and alumni in Japan before traveling to China to teach. I volunteered with the Maryknoll China Service Project and taught a four week intensive English course at Zhanjiang Normal University, Shanjiang, Guangdong, China. I also had the opportunity to visit with Prep alumni and their families while I was in China. All of us working in the residence program are honored to be charged with encouraging and nurturing each individual student to strive for excellence in all areas of life, maintaining a safe living environment, and providing the structure needed to prepare young people for their future.
