iPad Distribution Days

ALL Returning Middle and Upper School students that have turned in all of their Connect2Prep forms will be able to pick-up their iPads during one of these days. Starting August 7, returning students can register for an appointment at the link below. 

NEW incoming students can pick-up their iPads on Monday, August 14 or Tuesday, August 15 by appointment (register using the link below).

Welcome to Saint John's Prep! We are pleased to offer an Orientation Program to welcome our new students and families to the Saint John's Prep community. The goal of our Orientation Program is to help our new students have a smooth transition, provide necessary information and answer any questions you may have.

Middle School

All new and returning Middle School (Grades 6-7-8) students and their parents should attend the Middle School Orientation on Monday, August 21 at 4:30 p.m in the in the library. After the group gathering in the library, homeroom teachers will hold brief meetings in their classrooms.

9th Grade

ALL students (new and returning) entering our Upper School are required to attend the orientation activities. This is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and get acquainted with some new ones while familiarizing yourself with your new learning environment.

This program is for all NEW students in grades 10-12. Make new friends, meet your teachers, and get ready for your first day of classes.

International & Resident Students

All NEW resident students should plan to arrive no later than Friday, August 18 for move-in. In addition to the Monday program, we have special activities planned over the weekend to help you settle in to your new home away from home, including a welcome outdoor barbecue and student outings!

Welcome Week Student Excursion – Whitewater Rafting

Saturday, August 26 at 9:00 a.m.
All Upper School students (new and returning) are welcome to participate in the welcome week field trip that includes a rafting adventure with Minnesota Whitewater. This all-day event includes a 4-mile white water rafting experience down the St. Louis River, barbecue picnic, and transportation. 

This is a required event for all new to the school students & Peer Mentors; the cost is included in the new student fee. Space is limited and returning students receive priority on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration is required.

Cost: $50 (Cash or Check payment due to Sandy Ernst by August 23rd)

We are excited to add this to our welcome week activities this year! Whether you are new to the school or returning for another fun year, this is a great opportunity to meet the faculty and staff. Learn more about the exciting activities they have planned for the school year and put a face to the names you will hear so much about!

All School Picnic

Monday, August 21 at 5:30 p.m.
All families, returning and new, are invited to join us for a community picnic to celebrate the start of our new school year! The picnic will be held in the back of the Prep School.

All School Community Service Day

Tuesday, August 22 at 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., La Cruz, St. Cloud
All students and their families are welcome to participate in our Welcome Week Service Activity. A community breakfast and transportation will be provided. Participants will be engaging in various activities on the grounds of La Cruz Apartments in St. Cloud and should plan to wear comfortable clothing and bring work gloves if you have them.

Orientation is a continuous process at Saint John's Prep. There will be activities scheduled throughout the fall and spring semesters. Students will receive more information about future activities during the Welcome Week Program.
