"Our Town", written by Thornton Wilder, is set in a fictional New Hampshire town and follows the lives of two families over more than a decade from the early 30's to the early 40's. The show premiered in 1938 and won the Pulitzer Prize and has since become a classic in American drama.
Br. Paul-Vincent Niebauer, OSB returns to direct this fall show for Saint John's Prep. "Life in Grover's Corner, NH in 1934 is not that much different than life today in Collegeville, Avon, Cold Spring and all the small towns of our nation," said Br. Paul-Vincent. "Wilder wrote about the things that matter most in our lives - family, neighbors, young love, death-the simple eloquence is that this is the story of our lives and "Our Town" still touches our hearts."
