Brett Hendrickson, Director of Residential Life

I am a graduate of Saint John's University and obtained my Master of Arts Degree in Educational Administration from Saint Mary's University of Minnesota.

I spent two weeks this past summer travelling with Prep faculty, staff, freinds and alumni through several European countries (led by our very own German instructor extrodinar - Herr Sack!) with the highlight being the Stift in Melk, Austria. My travels abroad have also included several trips to Europe and throughout Southeast Asia including Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, and China. I am a past volunteer with the Maryknoll China Service Project and taught at Zhanjiang Normal University, Zhanjiang, Guangdong, China. I also spent a year teaching high school English to Japanese students in Okinawa. As an undergraduate student at Saint John's University I spent a semester studying at Bunkyo Gakuin University in Tokyo. I have been travelling to Japan yearly the past 10 years to visit alumni/ae and friends.

My interests include travel, hiking, aviation, gardening, cooking and spending time in and near the ocean whenever possible!

This year we have 92 resident students representing 18 countires who not only experience American culture, but also share their own culture with students who are from the United States.

All of us working in the residence program are honored to be charged with encouraging and nurturing each individual student to strive for excellence in all areas of life, maintaining a safe living environment, and providing the structure needed to prepare young people for their future.
