We have arranged the overnight field trip to Duluth for September 23-24, 2009. We will be visiting the Hinckley Fire Museum on Wednesday morning. Then we will be traveling to Duluth where we will be splitting into smaller groups to go to Glensheen Mansion, the Depot Railroad Museum, the Maritime Museum and Lift Bridge, the William A. Irvin ore ship, and Great Lakes Aquarium. We will then drive up the North Shore to Split Rock Lighthouse in the afternoon to tour the museum and lighthouse. We will stay in Two Harbors overnight. On Thursday morning we leave Two Harbors and tour the Hill Annex Mine near Calumet, before heading home on Thursday afternoon. A more detailed itinerary and packing list will be sent home next week.
