Sunday, October 2nd
We invite you to attend the 9th annual Collegeville Colors event on Sunday, October 2nd from 1-5pm.  This family event is open to the public to enjoy the beautiful fall colors and lakes on the campus of Saint John's near Saint John's Preparatory School (grades 6-12).

Two hiking trails will be available.  The shorter trail, approximately 1.5 miles, will be filled with a variety of age-appropriate activities for kids, including:
  • One-act plays
  • Bark and leaf rubbing
  • Identifying and feeling various animal furs
  • "The ever-changing canvas painting"
  • Learning how to identifying the various trees by our current 6th grade class
  • Music
  • And more!
In addition, families have the opportunity to enjoy a longer hiking trail to the recently restored Stella Maris Chapel.  Guided educational tours, provided by our friends at the Saint John's Arboretum, will be available at 1:30, 2:30 and 3:30. This trail is approximately 3 miles roundtrip.

Back at the fields below the Prep School, you can warm up to a bowl of "bouja," served with the famous Johnny Bread, sliced apples with caramel and a variety of refreshments.

While you are enjoying the bouja and other treats, we invite you to relax and enjoy the conversation with others.  At the same time, there will be a variety of entertainment and activities nearby, including:
  • Face painting
  • Receive your name written in a variety of languages by members of The World Club at Saint John's Prep
  • Songs performed by the Saint John's Prep Chamber Choir
  • A variety of musical instruments played by Prep School students
  • Learn about sustainability
  • Poetry reading
  • And more!
In addition, tours of Saint John's Preparatory School will be available throughout the day.
