Individual College/Career Counseling

Individuals will meet with a counselor to guide them in the college admission process. Counselors will assist students in searching for colleges, preparing applications, and selecting institutions that is right for them. Below is a basic guideline of the steps that will be taken throughout the students high school career. These steps will prepare students for the college application process.


Freshman Year:
  • Class visits
  • CTBS testing
Sophomore Year:
  • Individual check-in
  • PLAN testing
Junior Year:
  • PSAT testing
  • ACT/SAT testing registration
  • College search, individual meetings
  • College Fair
  • Organize college visits
  • J-term (April term) class
  • TOEFL testing, registration, transportation
Senior Year:
  • ACT/SAT retake registration
  • College application process
  • Recommendations
Testing Program:
  • Administration and interpretation of ACT, SAT, PSAT, TOEFL, CTBS, TOEL Prep, ACT Prep
Liaison with Colleges
  • Host/organize college representative visits
