We are happy you are interested in Saint John’s Preparatory School. Founded in 1857, our school is the oldest secondary school in Minnesota! Our school is rich in history and traditions, yet innovative in our curriculum and programming. Because we are a smaller school, you will have many opportunities to be involved, to be part of our school community, as you study and prepare for college.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme 

The aim of the IB programme is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. Our students are welcome to take courses in the IB Programme or complete the full two-year curriculum to earn the diploma.

What does it mean to be an International Student?

Saint John's Preparatory School considers any applicant that has maintained their primary residence outside the United States for at least the past three years to be an International student, regardless of their immigration status.

Can International Students earn college credit at St. John’s University/College of Saint Benedict?

Yes! As an International Student, you are welcome to take SJU or CSB courses at no additional cost. Enrollment is dependent upon course space and availability within a student’s schedule and must work toward meeting graduation requirements.
