  • Step 1:  Accept your admission and make the Enrollment Deposit

In order to save your place in the new incoming class, you will need to make the $8,000 non-refundable enrollment deposit within two weeks of receiving your admission decision.
Deposits can be made online using Connect2Prep.

  • Step 2: Receive your I-20 and Apply for a VISA

Following the receipt of your enrollment deposit, we will create and issue you an I-20. Immigration documents are sent to a student’s permanent address, and we reserve the right to cancel at any time if inaccuracies are detected.

Transferring from a school within the United States? You will need to send your current school the VISA Transfer Notification Form, so they can transfer your I-20 information to us. There is NO SEVIS fee associated with transferring an I-20. However, there may be other fees to obtain a new VISA.

Applying for your VISA – Preparation and Tips
Most students who have a valid claim for an F-1 VISA do receive one. The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) is a great resource for information regarding the application and supporting documents needed for your request.

  • Step 3: Submit all Enrollment Forms

    All forms due: June 1st
Enrollment forms can be found and submitted under the "files and forms" page within Connect2Prep.
All new international students must submit the following forms:

    1. Enrollment Contract
    2. Consent for Treatment & Emergency Contact information
    3. Student Health Information Form
    4. Physical Form
    5. Immunization Form
    6. Science Lab Safety Contract
    7. Residence Information & Policies Booklet

Optional Forms – submit if applicable to student

    1. Minnesota State High School League Form
    2. Doctor’s Order Form
    3. Self-Administration of Medication Authorization

  • Step 4: Make necessary travel arrangments

Students are responsible for their travel arrangements to and from the campus. The closest international airport is Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP).

The Prep School is located about 70 miles west of the airport, and we recommend booking ground transportation with Executive Express; select drop off location “St Johns Univ – Abbey Church”.

  • Step 5: Prepare for Welcome Weekend & Orientation

Every International student will be required to take a placement test for Math and English prior to course registration. These tests are designed to provide us with information about what you have already learned in these subjects, so we can place you in the appropriate level.
