Fall Play

Each fall, Saint John's Prep Upper School students present a dramatic or comedic play. In four years, students can expect to encounter a variety of theatrical styles and periods, including classic Greek, Elizabethian, Restoration, Modern and/or Contemporary. Recent shows have included Shakespeare's comedy Twelfth Night and performance of Mendotti's operetta Amahl and the Night Visitors, in collaboration with Saint John's University Chamber Orchestra and involving life-sized puppets commissioned by the British Crown. All performances will be held at Saint John’s Prep in the Weber Center.

Open Auditions

All auditions are open to any interested Prep student. The Prep Theatre Department has a policy against the practice of "pre-casting."  Therefore, every role is available at the time auditions begin. Roles will be awarded on the basis of auditions and callbacks only. Our goal is to involve as many people as possible in the production process. Auditions for the Fall Play are only open to Upper School Students. Auditions for the Spring Musical are open to all Prep students in 6th grade, Middle School and Upper School.
