Welcome to Saint John’s Preparatory School! We believe our faculty are extraordinary people, who are deeply knowledgeable about their fields and about teaching. They are a committed, caring group of professionals who happily devote an extraordinary amount of time and energy, in the classroom and beyond, to fostering their students' success.
Our faculty play many roles: Your math teacher might be your soccer coach and an advisor. Your science teacher may also be your Knowledge Bowl coach and advisor. Our students get to know their teachers well, both in and out of the classroom. With actively involved teachers, small classes and a community-based culture, you’ll find faculty mentors all around you. As you read through their bios, you’ll discover what excites them about teaching at Prep.
At Saint John’s Prep, we look forward to teaching to a diverse group of motivated students by providing innovative education, while focusing on academic rigor and spiritual growth. Whether it’s our 6-8th grade program with the curriculum unified across subjects, or the IB Diploma Programme in our Upper School, the global experiences and background of our faculty, or the diversity of where our students come from, you’ll find a global perspective throughout your day. Our students learn to think independently, critically and globally. Our priorities include:
- offering small class sizes
- providing an innovative and rigorous educational programming
- challenging students with interdisciplinary work
- engaging students in ways that give them an international perspective, lead them to embrace diversity, and develop their cross-cultural competence
- inspiring a commitment to environmental sustainability, and
- learning in a Catholic/Benedictine environment
We are proud of our innovative curriculum and outstanding faculty. We are confident you will discover Saint John's Prep is a unique enviroment to prepare you for entering the college of your choice and to become a life-long learner.
