Saint John's Preparatory School is a Benedictine, co-educational, day and boarding college preparatory school for students in grades 7-12, with boarding options beginning in the 9th grade. Saint John's Prep is located within the 2,600 acres of woods and lakes of Saint John's University's campus in central Minnesota. The facilities at Saint John's and the College of Saint Benedict are available to all Prep students, including 5 dining halls, 3 gymnasiums, 2 swimming pools, 2 exercise facilities/fitness centers, 2 field houses with indoor walking/running tracks, 2 college libraries, 2 college theaters, Climbing wall, Racquetball and tennis courts, the lakes and hiking trails of Saint John's. Recent construction at the Prep School includes a $3 million science lab/classroom addition completed in 2000 and a 10,000 square foot music and fine arts facility built in 1997.
